Debra Brittain Davenport, PhD, EPM™, LCC, CWS, CWD is president and chief executive officer of The Davenport Companies, Inc., parent company of Davenport/Folio and Davenport/Media.

Dr. Davenport is a leading authority on the topics of career development, success strategies, business management, leadership, entrepreneurship, and strategic marketing. She is a highly sought-after career adviser and professional mentor with over twenty years of entrepreneurial experience. She is the creator of the Certified Professional Mentor® profession, designation and certification process, and she is the nation’s only Executive Professional Mentor™.

Among Dr. Davenport’s other innovations are the Career Shuffle™ career interest game and the Folio Executive Résumé, which has earned accolades from employers across the country. Dr. Davenport serves on the advisory boards of several companies, and has assisted start-up businesses by serving as their interim CEO.

Dr. Davenport holds a PhD in education, and BA and MA degrees in communication arts. She is a licensed career counselor and employment agent, a Diplomate of the American College of Wellness, and a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Dr. Davenport is a faculty member at Grand Canyon University, West Virginia University and National University. She has served on doctoral committees at The Union Institute and Capella University. She additionally serves as interim CEO and spokesperson for the International School of Entrepreneurship. Her academic areas encompass psychology and psychotherapy, human behavior, organizational development, communication, public relations and entrepreneurship.
